Wreaths Across America - December 16, 2023

 

Join us at Arlington National Cemetery Saturday, December 16, 2023, for Wreaths Across America

Troop 1199 will be meeting up the morning of December 16, 2023, at Arlington National Cemetery for this annual event. 

From the website:

Volunteers may place wreaths at the base of a veteran’s headstone or columbarium niche to honor their legacy and remember their sacrifice.

Registration is not required, however it is recommended that visitors participating in Wreaths Across America at Arlington National Cemetery on Dec. 16 register with WAA to ensure they receive the most up to date information about volunteering. Please visit www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/arling to register.

Families can also sign up to sponsor wreaths on the website.

Nov 4th - Post-it Distribution in Germantown area neighborhoods

Nov 11th - Food Collection

Oct 1st - Dec 16th - Virtual Food Drive

Scouting for Food (SFF) is our council's largest annual community service project to help feed families in need by collecting non-perishable food and distributing it to local food pantries and food banks.

This year, there will also be a virtual campaign where donations can be made on-line and the food will be delivered to Manna Food Bank. Click here for our virtual food drive. Family Fun Hike-A-Thon - October 28, 2023

 

Join Pack 1199 on Saturday, October 28th at Black Hills Regional Park for our Annual Family Hike-A-Thon!

Please confirm your Den's specific meeting time and location with your Den Leaders.

The Hike-A-Thon is an event designed to give Scouts the opportunity to support Pack 1199 while at the same time promoting physical fitness and citizenship. Each scout is expected to raise at least $60 in donations.

Recommended Mileage:

• Lions and Tigers: 1 Mile
• Wolves: 2 Miles
• Bear: 3 Miles
• Webelos and AOL: 4 Miles
