The Sports and Academics Program is an additional program that provides cub scouts with another opportunity to learn new things and earn belt loops and pins. 

There are numerous subject areas and sports from which the scout can choose. 

The link provides a listing of each option and the specifics that must be done to earn a belt loop or pin or both. 

Scouts and their parents are encouraged to look at this program and explore this together. 

In many cases, scouts are already doing some of the requirements for certain sports or academics programs...why not earn something while doing it?
