1) Pack Level Management Roles:

Committee Chair: Oversee pack operations.  Organize and run Pack Leadership Meetings on a regular basis. 

Volunteer: Kim Nonato

Assistant or Co-Committee Chair:  Assist the Committee Chair with duties as needed.  Learn the ins and outs of running the pack.

CubMaster(s): Plan, organize, and run the monthly pack meetings.  Act as the MC at key pack events.  Attend RoundTable or find out items discussed in RoundTable from our RoundTable Representative.

Assistant CubMaster(s): Assist the CubMaster with duties as needed.

Volunteer: Bill Grutzkuhn

Treasurer: Work with Pack Committee to determine yearly budget.  Track income and expenses.  Keep the books for the pack.  Report pack financials to the pack committee on a regular basis.

Assistant Treasurer: Assist the Treasurer with duties as needed.

Membership Chair: answer questions from existing and new members, follow-up with new members, assignment of new members to dens, collect fees and applications, enter info into pack management system; keep track of paperwork; organize recruitment drives like Join Scouting Night or Spring mailings.

Assistant Membership Chair:  Assist the Membership Chair with recruitment activities.  Distribute and collect reregistration forms and dues from existing pack membership.

WebMaster : add content, add buttons, roll calendar on monthly, update den webpages for den leaders 

Volunteer: Geoff Pickard

Sports and Academics Chair: Educate pack membership via e-mail on various aspects of the Sports and Academics Program.  Answer questions about the program.

Volunteer: Mike Munday

Room Reservations: Need to go to County Training to use the ICB system, need to put your credit card on file and then get reimbursed from the pack for expenses.  Work with ICB personnel through an online system to reserve meeting space and any special requirements for meetings. 

Volunteer: Trevia Colwell

Advancement Chair(s): Solicit den leaders on a regular basis to determine what badges, awards, etc were achieved by the Scouts.  Ensure that the information is updated in the pack management system.  Purchase required badges, awards, and other items required for upcoming Pack meetings or events from Scout Shop.  Notify the CubMaster and News Chief of all awards to be given out at the next pack meeting.

Advancement Ceremony Planner:  Prepare for the advancement ceremonies.  This would include making Tiger tails (sewing involved), purchasing Wolf fangs (plastic dress-up teeth) and Bear meat (fruit roll-up) and any other supplies needed for the ceremonies.  Also communicate the details of the ceremony to the den leaders and parents ahead of time.  Bring the fire ring and other supplies to the meeting and help the CubMaster during the ceremony at the pack meetings. (pack will reimburse for expenses)

July Re-registration Nite: One evening during the month hold a re-registration night at your house where people can drop off re-registration forms for their scouts for next year (2009-2010)

2) Pack Level Program Roles:

Cub to Boy Scout Transition Chair: Mentor/Guide Webelos Scouts in preparation to go into Boy Scouts

Hiking Guru: Plan, organize, and promote pack hiking excursions over the course of the year.

Fishing Guru: Plan, organize, and promote pack fishing events over the course of the year.

Summertime Pack Co-Chairs : Plan the pack summertime program with pack leadership. Solicit pack for ideas and line up volunteers to organize and run at least 1 pack activity in  July, and August.

  • keeping track of scout orders; collecting money
  • placing orders with the Trails End
  • popcorn pick-up and distribution

Popcorn Sorter:  Help sort the popcorn by scout after it is picked up at the warehouse (a few hours 2 times in fall).

Popcorn Store Sale:  Arrange with local store to have a popcorn sale one weekend in September or October.  Coordinate and oversee the sale.  Includes recruiting scouts to work during specific time slots.

One Time Outing Planner(s): Plan and organize 1 outing or event for the pack during the course of the year.  Could be visiting historic place, a hike, a clean-up day, or anything that is of interest to you that you think the pack would enjoy. Scouting for Food Coordinator:  Attend the District Scouting for Food kick-off meeting.  Determine the territories to be covered by each den and coordinate with the den leaders.  Plan the day and time that bags are distributed and coordinate the collection of the food and the delivery of the food.  This event takes place in November over the course of 2 Saturdays. (November)

Pre-Scouts Table: Keep the pre-scouts activity table supplied with arts and crafts.  Set-up the table and oversee it during the pack meetings. Pack will pay for supplies.

News Chief: Pack Newsletter, Timely e-mails and details of upcoming events.   Communicate good deeds and interesting things our pack does to local HOA newsletters and local newspapers.

Pack Historian/Photographer:  Take and share pictures of pack activities with pack members.  Create and maintain a scrapbook of our pack or a running history of our pack.
